Pre-Show Attendance Building*
Depending on the size of your Detroit convention, we will send a staff person to your meeting the year prior to coming to our region and assist in building attendance. This is the perfect opportunity for us to help determine what you want to accomplish.
We can make sure everyone knows you have arrived in The D with welcome banners and posters in town, and at Detroit Metro Airport, we'll staff a welcome area with Detroit Destination District maps, brochures and help with transportation shuttle arrangements. Take advantage of People Mover Convention Passes for attendees to ride all day on the 2.9 mile above-ground loop around downtown. The DMCVB convention team is experienced in designing fun spousal and children tours, as well as suggesting a full menu of great spots for casual and fine dining.
Let us help you energize your Detroit meeting attendees in advance with the right meeting planning tools to get them excited about visiting metro Detroit. Count on many engaging print materials, free e-blast services, a full image library showcasing the entire region, and free promotional postcards you can send with your own message. We can suggest attractions where you can book a unique event or set up tours, and provide public relations support to help market your Detroit metro meeting.
Our service lead program is designed to assist you in finding the right vendors to meet your needs. Invite one of our services representatives to attend your exhibitors meeting and we will provide information and resources. Count on us to create a direct mail piece for exhibitors to offer details on our "Premier Exhibitor Service" program. Let us design free customized email blasts for vendors and attendees to keep them posted with up to date information.
Housing services are offered to all groups booked through the DMCVB Meetings & Conventions Team or the Detroit Metro Sports Commission that meet the established minimum requirements. The housing service is powered by MeetingMax. We provide 24-hour Internet, fax and mail housing reservations services, a toll-free information line, as well as "real-time" Detroit convention needs.
The DMCVB Services Department will connect you with one of our members who will provide bids and proposals for handling all of your temporary staffing needs.

The DMCVB works with media all over the country and we are here to help you publicize your Detroit meeting. We can assist you in the best way to develop your messages and communicate to the press. We have media lists on file and can offer our professional services to help you promote your Detroit convention. Just remember we need to work with you far in advance to assist you with media coverage opportunities.

We have a crew of enthusiastic folks ready to greet your attendees at local hotels, Cobo Center and other sites where you have a scheduled function or tour.
